As COVID-19 hospitalizations and community spread continue to rise rapidly, especially in Benton County and surrounding areas, Downtown Rogers, Inc. (DTR), a division of the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, has decided to take safety precautions by cancelling this year’s DTR Holiday Market. This difficult decision was made to protect the health of DTR Market’s customers, vendors, staff and our community.
Most of the DTR Holiday Market vendors will be pivoting to the DTR Online Market to offer seasonal gifts and handmade products. The DTR Online Market is open year-round and is a safe and easy way to get local food and goods each week - local farmers and artisans may still be supported by shopping on the WhatsGood app or website.
This holiday season, we urge you to consider how holiday plans may be modified to reduce the community spread. Small gatherings of friends and family are a big contributor to the rise in COVID-19 cases. The CDC offers theses guidelines for small gatherings: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays.html
Keep your friends, families and communities healthy and safe during the upcoming holidays. The safest way to celebrate Thanksgiving is with people in your household.
