COVID-19 has made a huge impact on our residents of all ages. Students especially have had to learn how to adapt to a new way of learning and attending school.
Earlier this year, we watched as our teachers creatively engaged students who were stuck at home. They paraded in a line of cars to visit their students from a safe distance, waving to show their appreciation and how much they missed them. Children and families rushed out to safely greet teachers and share photos and videos on social media.
Now, it's time for us to do something for them and express our appreciation for all they do for our students.
Thank-A-Teacher Celebration Parade Coming August 14
Teachers give our children so much and use their classrooms as the first steps in educating the next generation of workforce that will keep our businesses and our community thriving well into the future.
Though we can never thank them enough, this Celebration Parade is an opportunity to let them know how much we appreciate all that they do. This year we are unable to meet in person, so the Chamber will take the our 5th annual event to the teachers!
You Can Participate in Three Ways:
- Purchase a Space in the Parade and Donate Promotional Items
to be included in Teacher Goodie Bags.
- Donate a Gift Card or Prize (valued at $50 or more)
to be awarded to a deserving teacher.
- Sponsor the Parade.
Celebration Parade Details
Chamber staff, our sponsors, and participating businesses will make their way across Rogers and Lowell welcoming back teachers as they step foot into their classroom for the first time in months. We will stop at each school within the district to safely drop off goodie bags and wish the faculty and staff an amazing school year.
The Parade will start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude when we reach our final stop around 10:30 a.m. There are four parade routes and businesses will be assigned a specific route. Sponsors may participate in any or all routes:
Help Us Say Thank You to Teachers
Here is your chance to give back to the community and say thank you by rewarding our teachers with valuable items for the goodie bags.
It's also a great opportunity to present your products and services to more than 1,200 faculty and staff of the Rogers Public Schools, Arkansas Arts Academy, Haas Hall, and St. Vincent De Paul School.
An entry in the parade is very affordable, starting at $100 for non-profits, $150 for members and $200 for non-members.
