Friday, April 10th — The Micah 6:8 Initiative is proud to announce the grand
opening of its new thrift store, Thrifty Lil Bou Thang, on Friday, April 10th at 3:30 PM. This
community-focused store will serve as both a resource and a revenue stream to support the
organization’s mission of helping individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship in
Northwest Arkansas.
Located in Rogers, the thrift store invites the public to attend the grand opening celebration and
participate in a community-wide donation drive. Guests are encouraged to bring gently used
items, including clothing, shoes, furniture, and household goods.
“All proceeds from Thrifty Lil Bou Thang will directly support our programs and services,” said
Donna Schillinger, Executive Director and Founding President. “This store is more than a place
to shop, it’s a way for our community to come together and make a tangible difference in
people’s lives.”
The Micah 6:8 Initiative works to provide support, resources, and opportunities for individuals
and families facing housing insecurity. The thrift store will help fund these efforts while also
offering affordable items back to the community.
The grand opening event will include opportunities to donate, shop, and learn more about the
organization’s impact. Community members, local leaders, and supporters are all invited to
attend and be part of this meaningful launch. ⸻
