Innovative Businesses Lean in to Bikes Blues & BBQ

Posted by: Karen Wagaman on Monday, September 23, 2024

Large-scale events like Bikes, Blues & BBQ (BB&BBQ) play a significant role in boosting the local economy, drawing visitors, and driving business for local establishments. We hope the 2024 Rally Week surpassed the impressive $15 million in direct spending generated during the 2023 event.

BB&BBQ Rally Week provided an opportunity for local businesses to enhance their visibility and engage with a broad audience. These events bring a significant influx of new and potential customers, allowing businesses to showcase their adaptability, creativity, and offerings. By seizing the chance to tailor their services to Rally Week attendees, local establishments expanded their reach and developed deeper connections with both residents and visitors, enhancing Downtown Rogers' (DTR) reputation as a dynamic and vibrant destination.

The increased foot traffic presents logistical challenges, especially for small businesses. The surge in demand may require extended hours, additional staffing, and increased inventory. However, given that a substantial number of attendees live and work within an hour ride of Rogers, businesses may continue to gain significantly from Rally Week exposure. Thoughtful planning and customer engagement during and after the event can transform first-time visitors into loyal patrons, potentially fostering lasting economic benefits for Rogers and its local business community.
