In 1996, a group of industry, community leaders, human resource managers and plant managers shared a common concern about the lack of relevant training available for the workforce in Northwest Arkansas. Together they created Northwest Arkansas Industries for Education, a not-for-profit consortium of area businesses and industries that shared resources and created customized, skill-based training to suit a wide range of needs.

National Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrates History, Culture and More
National Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 through October 15, was a time to celebrate and reflect on the history, culture, contributions, and accomplishments of Hispanic Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America, and other Spanish-speaking nations.
The month kicked off with celebrations of independence on September 15 for El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua; on September 16 for Mexico; and Chile on September 18.
Visit Rogers, a division of the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, chose to celebrate by meeting with leaders in the community and highlighting their contributions, accomplishments, and how they celebrated this year.
