The second DTR Merchant Meetup was held Thursday, December 8 at the Rogers Lowell Chamber. Twenty merchants attended along with representatives from the City of Rogers and Chamber. This gathering provides merchants the opportunity to come together, support one another and collaborate on opportunities. 

The focus of both short and long-term planning for the Rogers Public Schools CTE department is aligning Career & Technical Education programs with both current and projected employment data designed to meet local workforce demands.

The Small Business Council (SBC) is a group of volunteers who either own their own business or work for small businesses in the area. 

The Leadership Benton County (LBC) program provides leadership training specific to regional issues facing the county and serves as the Chamber’s training ground for future leaders in Benton County.

Downtown Rogers has earned the reputation of supporting the creative community and is home to dozens of businesses that offer locally made products and interactive experiences as part of the creative economy. The 2nd Thursday of every month, artists, craftsmen, and musicians, partner with downtown merchants to provide an opportunity to explore businesses and meet the artists in pop-up galleries. Participating locations and artists change from month to month, and art experiences consistently provide new and interesting opportunities for the public to connect with their third space and support the creative economy.

Vision/NEXT is all about imagining the next 100 years for the Chamber and how we can push forward the community’s vision together. An important part of the process is collaboratively developing a sound strategic plan with the board of directors that drives our program of work each year.

The 2022 Midterm Elections have had record turnout across the United States, including here in Arkansas. The state as a whole had an increase of ballots cast by over 15,000, and Benton County had an increase of over 13,000 ballots cast at the polls. There were many shifts on the federal level, and the final counts to determine who will be taking charge in Washington came in shortly after election day.
