Congratulations to all of the 2010/2011 monthly winners and to Rush Running Co. on being named the 2010/2011 Small Business of the Year.

THE AWARD

The Small Business Council of the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to provide special recognition to our small business community by presenting one monthly recognition award and one yearly recognition award. Monthly award winners will be considered the nominees for the yearly recognition award to be presented at the annual NWA Business Conference and Expo.

Small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy, representing more than 99% of all employers, creating three-fourths of all new jobs and accounting for more than one-half of the nation’s gross domestic product. Now the Small Business Council has the opportunity to recognize exceptional small business owners for their tireless work, contribution to the community and their embodiment of the spirit of enterprise.

ELIGIBILITY

A business must meet the following requirements to receive the recognition award:
• Fewer than 100 employees
• A member in good standing with the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce

APPLICATION FEE

There is NO fee to participate

NOMINATING AND JUDGING PROCESS

Small businesses are encouraged to apply directly for the award. In addition, anyone may nominate a business that meet the award’s requirements. The Small Business Council meets on the first Thursday of each month and will select monthly winners at their meeting.
