Rogers and Lowell are two of the most dynamic cities in Arkansas and the nation. Rogers has seen individual recognitions in recent years as well as Rogers and Lowell being a part of a Metropolitan Statistical Area that has received numerous recognitions as well. BEST PLACES TO LIVE
In 2010 and 2011 CNN/Money ranked Rogers 10th on their annual Best Places to Live list under the category of small cities for families.
JOB GROWTH
CNN/Money ranked Benton County, where Rogers and Lowell are located, 15th on the 2010 list for counties that have experienced the most job growth over the last nine years. The Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, Ark., MSA was ranked 5th by Forbes.com on their annual Best Cities for Jobs list in April 2011.
MOST AFFORDABLE
The northwest Arkansas area ranked 10th on the 2011 Most Livable Bargain Markets list published by MSN Real Estate and Bert Sperling of Sperling’s Best Places. The list looked at affordable markets within the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the country. The Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, Ark.-Mo. Metropolitan Statistical Area was cited for career opportunities, affordable housing and the beautiful surroundings.
In 2011, the Council for Community and Economic Research ranked northwest Arkansas 8th on their Lowest Cost of Living Metro Areas.
SMALL BUSINESS START-UPS
CNN/Money ranked the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, Ark. MSA as the 13th best metro area for small business startups.
BEST PERFORMING CITIES
The 2011 Milken Institute ranked the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers MSA as the 26th best-performing cities in the U.S. The institute ranks U.S. metropolitan areas by how well they are creating and sustaining jobs and economic growth. The components include job, wage and salary, and technology growth. In most years, these give a good indication of the underlying structural performance of regional economics.
