Update on National Labor Relations Board Actions

The Government Affairs Committee and Large Industry Council are subcommittees of the RLACC board. Representatives from Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon and Galchus will be on hand to provide an update on activity by the National Labor Relations Board. This board has broad authority on worker/employee relationship and their actions have a major impact on your business. Plan to attend to learn what the NLRB is considering and how it can impact your company.

Our speaker will be J. Bruce Cross is a director in the firm of Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C. who practices in the areas of labor and employment defense law. Mr. Cross’ practice includes work before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Wage & Hour and OFCCP Divisions of the Department of Labor, as well as related Federal and State Court Litigation. He is past chair of the American Bar Association’s Committee on the Development of the Law under the National Labor Relations Act. He is listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers, Chambers USA and Best Lawyers in America, and was named to the Mid-South Super Lawyers Top 50 list of attorneys in Arkansas. He currently serves as Chairman of the National Legislative Committee of the Associated Builders and Contractors of America (ABC); member of the Arkansas Board of Directors for ABC; State Chairman of the Board of Directors, Junior Achievement of Arkansas; and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Museum of Discovery. Mr. Cross received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
