ChamberPRO Program Information

As new companies move into the area and existing businesses grow, people recruitment services are imperative for the health of the community.  The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to “Growing Business, Building Community” through an initiative called “ChamberPRO,” or People Recruitment Outreach. 

A survey of local business and industry indicated that programs and services were needed to assist with people recruitment and employee attraction.  The survey results showed that area business and industry would benefit from job fairs, marketing in nearby communities and on-line opportunities for posting job opening and resume sharing.

ChamberPRO delivers the programs and services identified in the workforce survey, including two Northwest Arkansas Job Fairs, one conducted in spring and the other conducted in fall.  The Northwest Arkansas Job Fairs provide a venue for area business and industry to connect with job seekers from Northwest Arkansas and surrounding areas.  The job fairs are heavily promoted in nearby areas such as Ft. Smith, Tulsa and Joplin to attract potential candidates who may not have otherwise considered the area for employment.

On-line opportunities for finding candidates were identified as an important recruitment tool.  To meet the need, you’ll find both job postings and an online resume database in the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce’s Job Bank here. 

Other ChamberPRO activities include promoting NWA job opportunities at job fairs in other markets such as at the Career Fair at the University of Arkansas Little Rock Campus.  Chamber personnel staff a booth at the job fair and represent NWA business and industry by providing information on available jobs, company information and relocation materials to job seekers in attendance.  Any Chamber member may take advantage of this opportunity by providing information to be distributed at the job fair.  Participating companies receive an activity report and a copy of any resume collected at the fair.

ChamberPRO also provides services to job candidates considering relocation and other job seekers.  ChamberPRO staff is improving and increasing the number of materials that are useful for recruiting potential employees to the area.  Materials available include relocation packets, relocation information on this website, collateral relocation marketing materials, and a relocation DVD.  Resume critique is available job seekers upon request.
