On the November 2012 General Election ballot, Arkansas voters will be asked to consider creating a new economic development financing tool called Sales Tax Anticipation Revenue Bonds. These bonds capture new sales taxes realized from new retail developments within a special district. These captured sales taxes are used to repay bonds issued to fund improvements to the site including roads, sewer and utilities.
The ballot measure was sponsored by State Senator Jake Files (R, Fort Smith) who will be the Committee's speaker.
Please join our Government Affairs Committee Friday, July 20 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chamber located in downtown Rogers, 317 West Walnut. Lunch is provided, but registration is required.
