“Vision 2025” Strategic Plan
For communities to thrive, there must be a strategic, long-range plan for the future. The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is leading the strategic planning process to create the "Vision 2025" community strategic plan for Lowell and Rogers.
Strategic planning looks at the big picture and helps a community decide what is important. Usually, people plan by reviewing past trends to set future goals, but strategic planning considers possible future events and trends, and then bases planning and resource allocation on anticipated changes.
The plan serves as a blueprint
for city officials, businesses and
organizations, offering a glimpse of what
residents of Rogers and Lowell desire for
the future of the area.
Creating "Vision 2025" is a step-by-step process designed to create a vision of what the community wants to become in the future and to involve as many people and organizations as possible in the process. The first step was to conduct an online survey to gather public input on what issues are important to the community.
Sector Committees will meet throughout the summer to discuss and define short-term and long-term goals to be incorporated into the final "Vision 2025" document. The strategic plan will be published and distributed by the end of 2008.
