Green Plus

Green Plus is a non-profit, green and sustainable education and certification program designed specifically for small and medium sized businesses. They offer a program that provides training, networking, and certification for small businesses and non-profits working toward becoming more competitive and sustainable.

The program contains an 85 question diagnostic survey that provides small businesses with a tool to self-evaluate its current business practices in three categories: People, Planet, and Performance. Green Plus will then score your practices, develop a comprehensive score report, and provide you with feedback on how your business can become more sustainable.

Businesses that complete the survey and receive an 80% or higher on the score report become Certified Green Plus members and are awarded national recognition through a multitude of marketing channels.

The Green Plus program is offered through the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce.  For more information, contact Jennifer Haile at Jennifer@RogersLowell.com or 479-619-3180.

Green Ribbon Cutting

In June 2010, the Chamber held its first “green” ribbon cutting at Brick Street Botanical LLC.  The unique flower shop in Historic Downtown Rogers successfully completed the Green Plus Certification process.  Also in June, Brick Street was named the Green Plus “Sole Proprietor of the Year” at the Sustainable Enterprise Awards in North Carolina.  Brick Street competed against other Green Plus Certified businesses across the country.

Congratulations to Brick Street for being the first businesses in the state of Arkansas to complete this certification process and being named Green Plus “Sole Proprietor of the Year.”
