The business landscape in northwest Arkansas changed in 2009, and the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce changed with it. The Chamber committed to providing leadership and support, with a focus on serving members and helping them thrive in a tough economic environment.
That commitment proved to be very successful, and others noticed our region’s success. In 2009, Forbes magazine ranked the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers MSA at number two on itslist of best places in the nation for recession recovery, CNN Money ranked us asone of the “Best Places to Launch a Business” at number 13, and we moved up to27th place on the Milken “Best Performing Cities” list, up from the 57th spot.
The Chamber’s leadership continues to be aggressive and innovative in offering programs that impact every participant. In 2010, the Chamber pledges to focus on four very important topics:
- The Chamber will work to build business through job creation and expansion.
- We will protect business and represent members’ interests at the local, state and federal levels.
- We will offer members hundreds of business-building events and services.
- We will solve critical issues by working regionally.
The Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce strives to achieve a vision of quality, growth and opportunity, while serving as the voice of business, promoting and initiating responsible economic growth, and addressing community challenges in the Rogers-Lowell area and the region. In short, growing business and building community are the reasons 2,000 businesses support the organization with their membership.
