Hola, Ciao, Bonjour! Don't Miss the International Festival - The International Festival showcases food, music, dancing, clothing and languages of a variety of cultural groups living in northwest Arkansas.The event features live entertainment, food and crafts, information and resources on various cultures, and children's activities. Don't miss the International Fashion Show, with the first of two shows at 1 p.m. Free and open to the public. June 6, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Learn to Be a Leader in Your Community - Start by applying for the eighth class of Leadership Benton County. Applications are available online here, and will be accepted through July 10. Presented by Arvest, the program provides leadership training specific to the regional issues facing the county, and serves as the chamber's training ground for future leaders in Benton County. Good Neighbor Food Drive – First Security Bank invites everyone to be a good neighbor by helping the hungry. During the month of June, drop off non-perishable food items or monetary donations at any northwest Arkansas First Security location. All food will be donated to local food pantries in NWA. Jones Center Summer Youth Academy – The Jones Center will offer a Summer Youth Academy, an educational, recreational and social experience for students ages 9-12. The weekly camps will feature a variety of programs including cooking, drama, science, sports, arts and more. Kids can attend one week, or all eight. The Academy starts on June 9 and ends on Aug. 31. Education Seminar on Scholarships & Services - The Office of Governor Mike Beebe invites students in middle school, high school and their parents to attend an informative seminar on state scholarships, youth apprenticeships and educational services. Learn how to jump-start your future career by learning critical academic and technical skills while still in high school. Celebration of Black Music – The U.N.I.T.Y. Resource Group will hold the fourth annual Celebration of Black Music on June 12 from 2-4 p.m. in the David Glass Technology Center cafetorium. “Telling Our Story: A Celebration of Black Music” will showcase historical and current genres including gospel, jazz, hip-hop/rap, rhythm & blues, rock & roll, and spoken word. Healthy Woman Seminar – Northwest Health System’s Health Woman seminar for June will feature Cheryl Hull, M.D. on “All About Skin Care.” This free monthly event will be held on June 18 from noon-1 p.m. at Bonefish Grill in Rogers. Tour de Cure Kick-Off – The American Diabetes Association cordially invites you to the NWA Tour de Cure Event Kick-off on June 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Arvest Ballpark in the Community Room. NWA Hispanic Council Field Trip – The Northwest Arkansas Hispanic Council is hosting a field day at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area on June 21 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. A hike led by Flip Putthoff will begin at 9 a.m. Bring your lunch to enjoy a picnic. Opportunities at Hobbs include hiking, hunting, bicycling, horseback riding and a free shooting range. Ourtown For Teens Leadership Institute – Recruiting has begun for Ourtown for Teens Leadership Institute for Arkansas Teens to be held Aug. 2-8. The program is a one-week residential youth leadership institute for high school students of different races, cultures and religions. The program allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to interact with a diverse group of students from across Arkansas, to explore issues of prejudice and discrimination, to share life experiences and hear different world perspectives and to learn more about themselves and how to build an inclusive community.
